Notes:

  • Caring for Ringwood Day: 4/27/24 at 8:30am

  • The clerk now uses a stopwatch during each public portion.  

    • Keeps public portion orderly.

    • Same rules as always: 3 minutes for each speaker and 30 minutes maximum for each public session. (Two public sessions)

Old Business:

  • Ordinance No. 2024-#01 - AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN UNDERSIZED LOTS IN THE BOROUGH OF RINGWOOD IN ACCORDANCE WITH NJSA 40A. 

    • The Borough has a handful of very small lots for sale.  Neighboring property owners can purchase them. Land for sale is not big enough to build on.  

  • Public Hearing & Possible Resolution 2024-69 – 2024 Grant Application – Passaic County Open Space for funding for the Stonetown Ballfield Project  

    • We applied for a grant for $2,250,000

    • Adding field lighting and a new ADA compliant playground at Stonetown Ballfield was discussed.

New Business:

  • Ordinance No. 2024-#02 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL - OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF RINGWOOD TO INCREASE LICENSE FEES.

  • B. Ordinance No. 2024-#03 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 - WATER AND SEWER - OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF RINGWOOD, SECTION 189 CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE – WATER CONSUMPTION RATES.

 
 

Resolutions:

  • 2024-71 Authorizing the Issuance of Not Exceeding $8,509,000 Bond Anticipation Notes of the Borough of Ringwood

  • 2024-72 Tolling Agreement Amendment Extending until March 31, 2026 

    • Ringwood Mines/ Landfill Superfund Site

  • 2024-73 Authorize application for a Grant to Passaic County Community Development Block Grant for an ADA Compliant Senior Transportation Vehicle.  

    • We will apply for this grant.  A great opportunity for our seniors!

  • 2024-84 Applied for a grant for $194,000 to have a Rain Garden at Ryerson School.

    • Could be a great learning experience for our students!

Manager’s Report:

  • American Rescue Grant for $65,000 for firefighters

  • Water main flushing is coming.  Check the website.

  • Ringwood Community Center: pickleball, art clubs, dancing classes, yoga, basketball, and senior club

  • New Ringwood playground in Upper Ringwood has started construction.

  • Outdoor AEDs will be at ball fields.
